David Afonso

I am David Afonso, born and raised in Olhão, Portugal. I grew up around women, which is reflected on my visual culture and which later shaped my practical outlook in photography and the person as I am today. However, visual arts has always been a passion, especially drawing, the reason why I undertook the course at the high school level. I also have a degree in Sound and Image at the Superior School of Arts and Design (ESAD) at Caldas da Rainha, where I learned and built my portfolio through various works over the three years of m academic course.
